1. I have switched my LDAP from Active Directory to a local iPlanet LDAP. How do I redirect it to point to the new LDAP? (v2.5.x)

The LDAP Synchronization tab must be filled out to point to the new LDAP. Once set properly, the next synchronization will pull user accounts from the new LDAP.

LDAP setting specifics depend on the type of LDAP you are using. There are templated versions for Active Directory and iPlanet Directory located in the /placeware/data directory of your IWS server.

3. When I access my InfoWorkSpace v2.5 servers home page via a browser, I am prompted with a download box. (v2.5)

Scripts Only permissions are set on the jakarta virtual directory located in the Internet Services Manager interface. Go into the properties of the jakarta virtual directory folder, and ensure that Scripts and Executables is the selected option in the Execute Permissions field. Once this change is made, the Tomcat service will need to be restarted.

5. The Search feature sometimes does not work even though the OracleCTXIWS service is started. (v2.1)

The OracleCTXIWS service can erroneously list that it is started. To be sure, view the contents of the "ctx.log" file located in the InfoWorkSpace server's Oracle directory. If the last line reads: "Shutting Down", the service is not really running. Restart the OracleCTXIWS service. This is resolved in v2.5.1.

6. How can I modify the InfoWorkSpace Security Banner information? (v2.5)

Edit the banner.html file located in the /iPlanet/docs/data directory on the server. To do this you can use any kind of html editor that you are comfortable with and simply edit the text that you would like to change.

7. Cannot add more than 40 mail accounts. (v2.1)

This is a Netscape defect error (defect ID 527316); however a refresh of the user in the console shows that the entry is still updated. As a workaround, you can modify users via the Netscape Directory Server console window. Under the Directory Tab, expand the User tree to show your users. Modifications can be made here without the error being generated.
